Launch of 2nd CD
"Rush Potatoes"

Last updated: 25th August 2009

On the evening of Wednesday, 15th July, Rinceoil Fingal launched their 2nd CD, "Rush Potatoes", , at the Fingal Co. Co. Offices in Swords.

The evening was exceptionally well attended by current and past members of Rinceoil Fingal and their families and friends. Also in attendance were a number of dignitaries including the Mayor of Fingal, Councillor Ciarán Byrne, who officially launched the CD, along with Senator Brendan Ryan and Councillor Dave O'Connor.

Rinceoil Fingal musicians entertained the crowd with tracks from their CD, and were even joined by Councillor O'Connor on guitar!!

Following speeches by Mr. Lenny Martin, current Chairperson of Rinceoil Fingal (and the driving force behind getting this CD from dream to reality!!), Mayor of Fingal, Councillor Ciarán Byrne, Senator Brendan Ryan, Councillor Dave O'Connor and President of Rinceoil Fingal, Mr. Jimmy Archer, some more music and chat ensued. As is always the case when Rinceoil Fingal get together, the crowd was reluctant to leave!

A great evening was very definitely had by all and the CD is on sale through CD World, both online and in their sales outlets in Drogheda and Dundalk. You can sample some of the tracks on the album, online.

See some TV footage of the night.
